Name: Barrion Boyle Jr.
Age: 19
Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Graduation Year: 2026
Career Aspirations: Professionally, I plan to accomplish a lot of things. After earning my private pilot license and drone license, I plan on furthering my aviation education to receive the rest of my certifications in order for me to work for the airlines or a private corporation. Later in my career, I plan on founding an aviation non-profit organization that will target the younger audience so people, especially minorities can be exposed to the world of aviation by someone who looks like them.
Hobbies & Interests: I love spending quality time with my friends and family, exploring and trying new things. I also love anything nature related, whether that’s walking a trail, hiking, star gazing, etc. I also enjoy staying fit by working out and dancing. I love expressing myself through cooking as well.
Organizations/Clubs: At TSU I serve as the President of BUILD Institute ( a male freshman leadership program that targets building young men’s professionalism, self-expression, mental health, and fellowship with peers), a Tiger Tour Guide, University Ambassador, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, & Mister Ivy for the Alpha Psi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated for the 2023-2024 academic school year.
Why are you passionate about aviation? Ever since I was a child in elementary school, I’ve always been fascinated with the world of aviation. I’ve always wondered how planes worked and as the years went by my love and passion for it has gotten deeper for it as I get more involved in it. As I’ve gotten older, I realized that I can also change the demographic of aviation as a black pilot and bring awareness to my community about what aviation is. Because of this realization, my passion for aviation stopped being just about me and how I can benefit from it but it expanded to how I can help others, especially those who look like me.
What is your future aspiration? My future aspiration is simple, I want to be a leader, I want to be a friendly face that people can look up to. My goal is the leave a mark on the world and specifically the aviation industry and I pray and hope that I can change the demographics in aviation.
Why did you choose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT?
I chose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT because I knew it would be a great learning experience while also being able to get closer to my goals in aviation. The Tuskegee NEXT program is also a big inspiration for me and my plans for the future. It’s also an honor to be a part of the legacy that the Tuskegee airmen left behind and I know that I am more than qualified to do so, not only in aviation but in everyday life.
