Career Aspirations: I hope to have a thrilling career that involves a job where I can travel regularly, fly and
help out marginalized communities not just in America, but around the world. I hope to
build up my career in the corporate world and continue into private flying.
Hobbies & Interests: I’m a very active person, I like anything that'll keep my body moving. I love to dance, skateboard, roller skate, longboard, swim, play softball and much more. I also thoroughly enjoy the complete opposite, sitting in my room and watching different tv shows , movies, and eating. I have a big interest in learning about different cultures so I often engage in international media, tv, and languages.
Organizations/Clubs: I am currently involved in Black Student Union, American Student Organization, National Gay Pilots Association, Women in Aviation, Sustainability Club, Tabletop Games Club, Majorly, and Psychology Club.
Why are you passionate about aviation? I’m passionate about aviation because as a child I always saw the aviation industry as something that had all the things I like bundled into one; travel, sightseeing, experiencing new people and cultures, and wealth. The first time I traveled on a plane, I was invited into the cockpit. Ever since I’ve wanted nothing else but to fly. Consequently, I have taken what I’ve always wanted to have as a kid, and I have proceeded to build my career around it. So far I have no regrets.
What is your future aspiration? My dream has always been to become a pilot, help people in any way I can, and overall make life better for my family. I’m currently searching for a direction for my aviation career that I believe can hit all 3 points at once while also making myself happy. I also think that taking breaks is vital for people, and that constantly working isn’t healthy. I believe during these breaks I take, I’d like to volunteer for many organizations to look for better ways to improve both our environment and economy.
Why did you choose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT? Right now I’m in a period of transition. I don’t have a solid idea on how to move forward with my goals. I applied to Tuskegee NEXT to help me take a step forward in my career, meet others like me, and hopefully help to answer my question on how I can actually complete my life-long goals.
