Career Aspirations: My career aspirations are to become a Naval Aviator. My goals are to learn how to fly the Boeing 737 in the Navy. Since watching the movie Top Gun: Maverick I want to learn how to fly the F18 Fighter Aircraft as well. Also, I would love to fly for FedEx as well since FedEx headquarters is in Memphis, TN my hometown.
Hobbies & Interests: My hobbies are going swimming. I must learn how to swim very well if I am going to fly the F18. So, I try to go swimming at least 3 times a week. I also love to travel. I want to experience new sceneries and see what the world has to offer me. I want to experience different cultures around the world.
Organizations/Clubs: I started playing basketball in elementary school until my Senior Year in high school. Of course, of the Pandemic, we no longer could play. Basketball became my passion, I loved everything about the game. It taught me so much about resilience, discipline, teamwork, and dedication. It was my go-to therapist, and it holds a special place in my heart forever.
Why are you passionate about aviation?
I am passionate about Aviation because it could open so many doors for me. I love to travel and with this profession, I could also help many people around the world reach their dreams. Just like how Tuskegee Next is helping me reach mine. I want to help people of all races, colors, and cultures.
What is your future aspiration?
My future aspiration is of course become a great pilot, but I also want to inspire the youth. I have younger cousins looking up to me and I want them to know they can do anything they put their hearts and minds to. I want to mentor my younger cousins, people in my community, and people worldwide. I want the youth to know it is no limit to their success. The only limit to your success is you!
Why did you choose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT?
I choose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT because the program gives you an opportunity to receive your Private Pilot Certification. Which is a huge first step to starting your Aviation career. Also, I receive an experience of a lifetime.
