About Me:
I’m a distance runner and my love for running started when I joined the Cross-Country team back in middle school. I currently hold a drone pilot’s license and am an avid photographer and I enjoy capturing aerial views of the city. I love to go planespotting and I marvel at the sight of an airliner at takeoff. I always imagine myself in the cockpit and can’t wait until the day that I’m living my dreams.
Why are you passionate about aviation?
I have loved flying since I was a little kid. After most flights, I remember sitting in the cockpit as a young kid looking at all the buttons and being so excited to be there. Whenever I fly, I feel free and I’m so excited to be getting to do this for my career. The freedom to pursue our dreams is often taken for granted. The legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen is proof of why we must take every opportunity to be our greatest selves.
Why did you choose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT and how did you hear about the program?
I learned about Tuskegee Next from participating in the OBAP Solo Flight Academy in the summer of 2022. I applied to Tuskegee Next because it would put me one step closer to my goal of becoming an airline pilot.
What are your future aviation aspirations?
It’s my goal to be a captain for a major commercial carrier. I feel it is important to help the next generation of pilots, so I am committed to creating a foundation that will support youth who are pursuing aviation who otherwise may not have access to the same opportunities.
Fun Fact:
I love traveling. My dad and I take an annual trip to an aviation-themed conference. My photography was recently recognized as I won first place in an Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport photography contest.
